We are so precious in God’s sight. He loves us more than anything else that He made and put into being. Remember, He let His son be killed so that one day we can live with Him. And then keep living with Him for all of eternity.

That’s not what this article is about.

This article is about the sin of pride. The sin of thinking that somehow, for some reason, you are more special than any other Christian. The disease of the Pharisees. The high and mighty attitude that then forces everyone else to live up to that standard. That stands in the temple and preaches loudly and obviously to be seen and heard.

We don’t need to do that because we are special to God. Because God sees and knows and hears the prayer that doesn’t even rise to your lips. He hears the prayer that never leaves the deepest recesses of your heart and mind. Because we are so very precious to God. But that isn’t a reason to forget humility and sacrifice and our servant heart.
